MY PROCESS I create mixed media paintings and installations through the process of distilling and abstracting fleeting experiences that are not easily defined, but nonetheless sensed. I love exploring how things work and expressing those ideas in the art I create. Using paint, paper, wood, glass, light, shadow and handmade tools, my work implies a place, holds an experience, and draws attention to the complexity of unseen forces.
It is my deeply held belief that the more we learn about the earth and the larger cosmos, the more we understand that everything we see and do not see is interwoven. I want to express the beauty in this inter-connectedness. It is my hope that in doing this work, my visualizations will inspire us to become better stewards of our Earth.
